Do you still make up nice emails to your subscriber list, click
send, and wait for people to come back to your site, hopefully, to buy
something? And, maybe, for you, it still works.
However, let's try something new.
Create a short, powerful, benefits laden title to grab their
attention right on your email page.
Then, when they click onto the email, just put enough
interesting stuff to get them to want to go to read the entire email on your
website.
Your email shouldn't be more than ten tantalizing lines.
Here's why:
1) Since content is now King on the internet, your email is now
more content. In the email letter, it is not. So, as an email, you've lost an
excellent opportunity to satisfy the search engines with high quality content
and
2) With new content... which, in turn, helps the search
engines to see that your site is one in growth. Sites that are in growth will be
spidered more often.
3) If you make your email message a page on your site to which
they will go to read it, you gain by the increased traffic flow which, in turn,
tells the search engines that this is an active site with growing
traffic. Growing traffic, to the search engines, means that your site is more
and more important with each new page and each new visitor.
After all, with each new subscriber, you also grow your traffic
flow back to your web site.
4) Regardless of what field of passion and expertise you are in,
there are always times when you want to edit come of what you wrote some time
ago just to keep it relevant.
If you just send out emails, the message is permanently out
there. However, when it is still on your site on your server, you can change it
at any time and, maybe, with enough changes, re-introduce it as new text.
5) With all this traffic, them coming back to your web site, you
can better monetize each page of your site such that not only is the page the
prelude to a sales effort, but you can place all kinds of peripheral stuff on
there to help generate some income... such as I do with these pages. My readers,
and yours will, do the peripheral stuff.
I hope that helps. Now,. spider, go ye forth and make some moolah.
